RT 2010-2024 trailer hitch splash guard (fits BRP hitch only)

Here's a quick and inexpensive way to protect your trailer, your Can Am Spyder and your passenger. This will get rid of riders and passengers getting that nasty spray coming up behind you along with protection for your cargo and trailer. This works great with any add on mud flaps but please make sure you have the correct clearance, that's your responsibility. Comes with hardware ready to install...just a couple of self taping screws....that's all. Made from 3/8 inch thick polycarbonate plastic.

    RT Trailer Hitch Splash Guard

It is thicker than the original one I had which cracked. I rated it a 4 because there is no cutout or hole for the clip that secures the wire between the Spyder and the trailer. Since this was designed specifically for the BRP Hitch Only 2010-2019 (see its description), this should have been part of the design. When I asked for help, I was advised to drill a hole in it. I live in an apartment which makes working on the Spyder difficult at best.

    Trailer hitch splash guard

Looks nice, haven't been in the rain with it yet but should do the job. On the downside I had to drill another hole for the trailer electrical cord holder.

    RT Trailer Hitch Splash Guard

Posted by Pete Sikora on 2019 Jun 13th

I have a BRT trailer hitch for my FREEDOM trailer. I ordered the splash guard from CASA and it arrived within 10 days. I found that there were no installation instructions for the size of a pilot hole for the self tapping bolts. I e-mailed CASA and Pierre called me back the next morning and left a message that gave me the information that I needed. The installation of the splash guard took less than 10 minutes. I marked the pilot holes that were in the splash guard onto the hitch frame, drilled an appropriate size pilot hole, and finished by installing the self tapping bolts with a drill driver. The installed plash guard is solid and looks great.
