Over the years, we have seen lots of RT windshield arms break, it's unfortunate and an expensive adventure if your Spyder is not under warranty. BRP sells this arm as a "kit" and depending where you buy it, cost may run you anywhere from $600 to $700 plus labor. Since the rest of the parts don't need to be changed, we are offering a solution by providing the arm by itself. Made from a solid aluminium block.

replacemant arm for windshield
Great fit. Love the set screw instead of the pins. Well made. Only draw back is there is no way of telling which way to put it on if your old arm is broken. A sticker on it saying this side up or top would be good. Thanks again.

Good product - no instructions or information
The unit is well constructed. I am sure it will outlast the rest of the bike, but... there are no instructions included, and this is a tedious project at best. Another supplier (in Austrailia) includes some "wedges" that can be used to remove the pulley on the end of the shaft. Without them, it is a bit daunting, but can be done. There was not even a piece of paper or anything showing the orientation of the part for installation, or a mention of the proper allen wrench needed to tighten it. (And if you are doing this, be sure to put some locktite on the allen set screw, because you really do not want to go looking for it if it falls out!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Solid aluminum replacement
The replacement arm was perfectly machined all of solid aluminum. The ID was tight on the windshield end and we had to ream it. Otherwise it went in flawlessly. Upon reassembly the whole windshield is much sturdier than originally designed. Unbelievable Product.
