Our RT series gas shock will hold up any seat including heavier seats, even a Mustang or Ultimate seat that is really tight towards the rear and makes it hard to keep up when fuelling your Spyder.

    Added a backrest and seat would not stay up for fueling. This was a 5 minute install and works perfectly. Unlock seat and start to lift it and it goes up by itself and stays up. I recommend it to everyone with an upgraded seat or adding a backrest

    The stock cylinder on my 2017 RTL would struggle to keep the seat raised, with just the added weight of the driver backrest. 5 minutes to swap out the old with this, now I can twist the key, and the seat will literally raise itself to full open! Highly recommended for those tired stock seat cylinders.

    The cylinder raises and holds my Ultimate seat which the OEM one could not. The only problem I had was installation. The connector on the body end was too square and did not allow for rotation of the piston when the seat was raised. I had to round off the edges on the connector with a file in order for it to rotate freely. Admin : is the Ultimate seat different then a stock seat ? We install those often and never had an issue.....
